Carl Eytel (1862–1925) – The Palm Tree Illustrator
German immigrant Carl Eytel settled in Palm Springs in 1901 and devoted his life to sketching the desert. Traveling across the Southwest, he befriended Native tribes and documented landscapes, flora, and fauna. His journals and drawings influenced other artists and became a cornerstone of early desert art collections.
Maynard Dixon (1875–1946) – Painting Poetry

Agnes Pelton (1881–1961) – The Desert Transcendentalist
